Hi, I’m Courtney Conerly!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Mind-Body Trauma Therapy.

I provide therapy to clients in Florida and also offer virtual sessions to clients in New Hampshire.

I specialize in helping individuals ages 15+ with complex trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, and self-worth challenges. I have specialized training in Polyvagal Theory, EMDR Therapy, and Somatic (body) Based Therapy. I am also sandtray and art therapy-informed and enjoy weaving creative-based interventions with more traditional and trauma-informed modalities. I have been working in the mental health field for the past 5 years, seeing clients and actively honing my skills.

I have a deep passion for working with BIPOC individuals (Black, Indigenous, + People of Color), holding space for the ways identity, race, and experiences of discrimination can shape mental health and healing.

At the same time, I warmly welcome clients of all cultures and backgrounds, empowering each person to feel seen and supported

I believe in a collaborative approach to healing that prioritizes safety, connectedness, and authenticity. I value teaching clients how to feel more connected with their body and emotions, improving emotional expressiveness, and gradually replacing unhelpful patterns. Therapy is not about doing things correctly or perfectly; therefore, I value meeting clients where they are in their journey and walking alongside them as they move toward growth, resilience, and healing.

I accept Aetna & Quest Behavioral Health Insurance plans, and out of network benefits for all other plans.

Getting personal…

“Hi there. I am an African-American woman born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Being brought up in such a culturally rich and diverse environment has served me well in my life. It taught me the value of diversity, community, and the importance of having fun. New Orleanians are resilient at their core, and I carry this with me no matter where I am located.

From a young age, I have always been described as having a big heart and a genuine care for people. The strengths and traits that I love about myself lead me to seek out a career in mental health. My passion and love for this field continue to grow with each passing year.

I have struggled with my own mental health issues throughout my life, but through my own personal healing journey and stepping outside of my comfort zone, I have grown. The tools that I have learned in therapy have allowed me to be my best self and show up for clients wholeheartedly and intentionally.

My hope for every client that I encounter is to learn how to be more mindful and present in their lives. Mindfulness has been a gift in my life and has allowed me to simply be “here.”
